Research shows that our mentoring works, with our volunteer programs pointing to the powerful and lasting impact Bigs can have. Young People involved in the program are:

·   52% less likely to skip school
·   46% less likely to begin using illegal drugs
·   More likely to get along with their families and peers

There are two ways you can get involved:

  • as a SPONSOR - by sponsoring a young person to be matched in the program, OR
  • as a VOLUNTEER - by becoming a BIG BROTHER or a BIG SISTER yourself!

Becoming a Sponsor

100% of every corporate dollar you give goes directly towards making and supporting matches.

All program administration costs are covered by government funding or trust fund grants. This means we are able to ensure that every business dollar donated goes directly toward supporting the young people. Donating will help to:
  • Recruit new Big Brothers and Big Sister volunteers
  • Cover the costs of background checks and insurance, while ensuring trained professionals match children to caring and responsible Bigs.
  • Offer one-on-one, ongoing supervision and support for every match
  • Provide cultural and social activities to enrich the opportunities for young people

Becoming a Volunteer Mentor  - a Big Brother or Big Sister

Our volunteers come from all walks of life, whether married, single, with or without children.

Our Big Brothers and Big Sisters all have a desire to make a difference in their community and impact a young person's life.
